About Stony Point Doodles
What makes Stony Point Doodles different from other breeders?
Stony Point Doodles is a small, in-home Bernedoodle breeder in Rockland County, New York. We are passionate about raising healthy, loving puppies in a family environment, with a focus on good genetics, early socialization, and individual attention. We are not a large commercial breeding operation. Our puppies are raised as part of our family, and we want every puppy to find a wonderful forever home.
Where are your puppies raised?
Our Multigenerational Mini-Bernedoodle puppies are raised in our home in Rockland County, NY, surrounded by our family and other dogs. From an early age, they are introduced to everyday household sounds, gentle handling, and age-appropriate experiences to help them become confident, well-socialized companions.
How often do you have litters?
We breed on a small scale and plan our litters thoughtfully. We do not produce puppies year-round, so availability may be limited. If you are looking for a Multigenerational Mini-Bernedoodle puppy in New York or the New Jersey metro area, we encourage you to contact us about upcoming litters and our waitlist.
Can we meet the parents of our puppy?
Yes! If you live near us in Rockland County or the New York and New Jersey metro area, we are happy to arrange an appointment to meet our dog parents after your puppy application has been completed and approved and a phone interview has taken place.
If you live farther away, we can arrange a FaceTime or video appointment so you can meet the parents and learn more about our breeding program.
Are the parents health tested?
Yes. Our breeding dogs are F1 and F2 Bernedoodles that receive regular veterinary care and have undergone DNA testing. We take their health and genetics seriously and are happy to discuss the health information available for the parents of the litter you are considering.
Reserving and Selecting Your Puppy
How do I reserve a puppy?
The first step is to contact us or schedule a phone consultation so we can learn more about you and answer your questions. You will then complete our puppy application. Once your application is approved, you may submit your deposit to secure your place in the puppy selection process for an upcoming litter.
How does the puppy selection process work?
Puppy selections generally begin when the puppies are around 4 to 5 weeks old. Families on our reservation list receive updates and photos as the puppies grow, giving you time to get to know the litter and think about your preferences.
Your selection order is based on the position assigned when your deposit is received. When your turn comes, you may select from the puppies available at that time.
Stony Point Doodles reserves the right to retain a puppy for our breeding program. A breeder-choice puppy may also be offered at a premium.
Can I choose a specific puppy or color?
Absolutely. We welcome your preferences and will do our best to help you find a puppy that is a great fit for your family. However, we cannot guarantee that a particular litter will produce a specific color, marking, or other characteristic.
Families with earlier selection positions generally have the widest choice of available puppies.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits are nonrefundable once your application has been approved and your reservation has been confirmed. However, if you decide to postpone your puppy purchase, your deposit may be transferred to a future litter.
Your deposit is applied toward the final purchase price. Because we plan our litters and reservation lists around these commitments, we ask families to be certain they are ready before placing a deposit.
If something happens to your reserved puppy and we are unable to provide the puppy, your deposit will be refunded.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due two weeks before your puppy is scheduled to go home. We will send your final invoice approximately two weeks before your pickup date.
We accept ACH, Zelle, cash, and checks.
Health and Your Puppy’s First Weeks
What is included in the purchase price?
Your puppy comes with our One Year Healthy Puppy Guarantee, veterinary health records, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, and starter supplies to help make the transition home easier.
We also include a goody bag with puppy food, a scented blanket that carries familiar smells from the litter, and a few Stony Point Doodles surprises.
Do your puppies come with a health guarantee?
Yes. Every puppy comes with our One Year Healthy Puppy Guarantee. If your puppy is diagnosed with a covered congenital or hereditary condition during the guarantee period, you may choose a refund of the original puppy purchase price or a replacement puppy from a future available litter.
The guarantee is valid for one year from your puppy’s date of birth. Please review our full Healthy Puppy Guarantee for complete terms and details.
Will my puppy be vaccinated and dewormed?
Yes. Our puppies receive veterinary care, including a health evaluation, age-appropriate vaccinations, and deworming before going home. Their first veterinary visit generally takes place around 4 to 5 weeks of age, with their initial vaccinations typically administered around 6 to 7 weeks, according to our veterinarian’s recommendations.
Your puppy will go home with a record of the care and treatments received. Additional vaccinations will be needed after your puppy comes home, so it is important to establish a schedule with your veterinarian.
We recommend scheduling your puppy’s first veterinary appointment within 48 to 72 hours of bringing them home.
At what age will my puppy be ready to go home?
Our puppies are generally ready to join their forever families at around 8 weeks of age. By that time, they are typically weaned from their mother and eating solid puppy food.
We want every puppy to have the time needed to grow, develop, and become ready for the transition to their new home.
Do you microchip your puppies?
We do not currently microchip our puppies before they go home. We believe this is a personal decision for each family, and we leave the choice of microchipping and registration to the new owner.
If you choose to microchip your puppy, your veterinarian can help you with the process and explain how to keep your contact information current.
Bringing Your Puppy Home
